Please join the Hot Flashes MS Walk team in the fight against multiple sclerosis

For those who have not done MS Walks before, they are fundraisers for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and are held each year in the spring. The primary goal of the MS Walks is to raise money for research, treatment, and support services to help people with multiple sclerosis. However, the fun that you have doing the walk and socializing with your teammates, and any premiums that you earn based on the amount of money you raise, are definite bonuses. The Hot Flashes team has been doing the MS Walk every year since 2000 (see Team History) - this will be our 24th year!! We are proud of the fact that the team has raised a total of over $700,000 so far. Here are the locations and dates for the 2023 MS Walks in which the Hot Flashes team will be participating; please Join Us at one of them:

Glen Island Park, New Rochelle (Westchester County)	Sunday, April 30, 2023
Rockland Lake State Park, Valley Cottage (Rockland County)	Saturday, June 3, 2023

If you can't attend one of these Walks, you can still participate as a Virtual Walker member of the Hot Flashes team, walking in your own community (and even at a different time), if you wish. Much progress has been made in the battle against multiple sclerosis, but much more remains to be done. Please Join Us as a member of the Hot Flashes MS Walk team for 2023.

Here's some more information about the MS Walks:

There are 1 mile and 3 mile options at each Walk site. Team members ask others to sponsor them with a contribution to the M.S. Society. There is no minimum required fundraising total, but I hope you will raise a lot. In the past, some Hot Flashes team members have raised several hundred dollars or even thousands of dollars. The MS Society typically gives out premiums to individuals in order to encourage fundraising.

My goals for 2023 are to have at least 200 team members and to raise a team total of at least $40,000. Please Join Us, and please ask your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and relatives to join us as well. And if you can't join the team, then please Sponsor Me with a donation to the National National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
